Statistically, Venus Williams should be able to beat Kim Clijsters tonight on Arthur Ashe Stadium at the US Open. According to the WTA’s website, Venus leads 6-3 in their career matches. However, Kim Clijsters, also known as Miss Congeniality, has been on a roll when it comes to American hardcourts. She has already won the titles at Indian Wells, Miami, Eastbourne, Stanford, Los Angeles, Toronto already this year!  Venus too has been playing some of her best tennis in years as evidenced by her recent Wimbledon title. Regardless of who wins, we can rest assure that this will be quite the match to watch. Check out BBC’s preview here.  As for my own opinion, I’m personally rooting for Venus . . .I’d love to see a Wimbledon rematch between Lindsay Davenport and Venus.
