Rumors abound on whether or not Jennifer Capriati will make a comeback in the next few months, specifically in Australia. Apparently, according to the Sydney Morning Herald, Capriati will not be playing at the Australian Open. The former world No. 1 has not played a WTA tour match since November 2004, but has not officially retired. She had surgery on her right shoulder on January 27, 2005, but almost no word has been heard regarding her progress.

The three-time Grand Slam champion spent a total of 17 weeks as No.1.
