Venus and Serena enter Family Circle Cup

Venus and Serena Williams have officially entered the field at the Family Circle Cup in Charleston, South Carolina. The Family Circle Cup is the only Tier I tennis tournament played on clay in the United States and will be held April 8-16, 2006.

From Family Circle Cup website:

“Serena and Venus are world-class ambassadors of the game and have been vital to the success that women’s tennis enjoys today,” said Robin Reynolds, Tournament Director, Family Circle Cup. “We are pleased to be one of the few tournaments worldwide that will have the opportunity to showcase the talents of these two phenomenal athletes.
