Sharapova, Hingis, and Myskina advance at Pacific Life Open

Play was able to resume last night at the Pacific Life Open at Indian Wells after the rain subsided. Anastasia Myskina, Maria Sharapova, and Martina Hingis all opened with easy opening round wins.

No. 5 seed Myskina defeated Mashona Washington 6-2, 6-2, third seed Maria Sharapova beat Jamea Jackson 6-4, 6-3, and Martina Hingis easily made it past Camille Pin of France 6-1, 6-3.
