Nicole Vaidisova and Shahar Peer will head into Roland Garros as the latest champions on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour.

Czech Republic’s Nicole Vaidisova defeated China’s Peng Shuai for her fifth career title at the Internationaux de Strasbourg tournament today in Strasbourg, France. Vaidisova, who is currently ranked at No. 18 defeated Shuai 7-6(7), 6-3.

Israel’s Shahar Peer upset top seed Anastasia Myskina of Russia in a tough, three set match in the final of the Istanbul Cup in Istanbul, Turkey also today. Peer scored her third career title with a 1-6, 6-3, 7-6 (3) win.
