Serena Williams to return to tennis in Cincinnati

Former world number one Serena Williams has finally announced when she will be returning to the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour. The 7-time Grand Slam singles champion will make her latest comeback in July at the Western & Southern Financial Group Women’s Open in Cincinnati, Ohio.
“I have decided to return to competitive tennis at Cincinnati’s Western and Southern Financial Group Women’s Open, the week of July 17,†Williams said in a statement.

Serena’s road back up to the top will definitely not be easy. She is already down to No. 104 in the world and she will be losing 74 more ranking points from last year’s Wimbledon in just a few weeks.
