Wimbledon Live Tennis Subscription Service

The AELTC has unveiled a brand new subscription service for tennis fans during next week’s Championships at Wimbledon. Fans will now be able to watch the action live on the internet and enjoy videos on demand.
In conjunction with www.wimbledon.org, Wimbledon LIVE will offer live coverage of Centre Court, No. 1 Court and up to seven other courts.
Subscribers to Wimbledon LIVE will also be able to access On Demand video of recent and classic matches, match highlights, player interviews, news updates and three live audio streams from Radio Wimbledon.

I wonder if the new website will be similar to what the ATP Tour is attempting to do with the coverage of the Masters Series tournaments. It remains to be seen whether fans will be willing to pay for on-demand audio and video clips that may be similar to what is available at other sites for free. Of course the live video feed on the internet of Wimbledon is only available legally through authorized partners, but so many people, especially in the United States, are already paying money for digital/satellite television access.
