Justine Henin-Hardenne sets up showdown with Clijsters at Eastbourne

Roland Garros ladies champion Justine Henin-Hardenne set up a semifinal clash today with her rival countrywoman Kim Clijsters at the Hastings Direct International tennis tournament in Eastbourne, England.

Likhovtseva made it to the quarterfinals after knocking out No. 8 seed Daniela Hantuchova in the first round and Shenay Perry in the second, but the former world No. 1 from Belgium controlled their quarterfinal match from the start and easily advanced to the semifinals with a convincing 6-2, 6-4 win.

Justine Henin-Hardenne and Kim Clijsters have met an astonishing twenty times in the past, with both players tied at 10-10. Ironically, they are also tied 1-1 on grass. The last time they met was only a few weeks ago at Roland Garros and Henin-Hardenne knocked out Clijsters 6-3,6-2 in the semifinals.
