The Championships at Wimbledon

Rain did not washout all of the action at the Championships at Wimbledon today, because a few players were able to start their first round matches. However, not one tennis match was completed today, and it looks like this year’s tournament could be heading to a extra day of action on Sunday.

I decided to take my own advice, but instead of reading War and Peace, I found myself watching not only Federer and Roddick’s final from last year, but also Venus William’s victory over Lindsay Davenport all afternoon. I wonder what ESPN2 plans on showing if it rains tomorrow? Perhaps all three doubles finals or better yet, Sharapova’s win from 2004. Oh well – you have to love Wimbledon anyway!

Uncompleted Matches
Kim Clijsters leads Vera Zvonareva 5-4
Martina Hingis leads Olga Savchuk 6-2
Daniela Hantuchova leads Maria Elena Camerin 5-4
Kirsten Flipkens leads Jamea Jackson 4-5
(You can see the rest of the suspended matches by clicking here)

The schedule for tomorrow has not been released, but it should be posted soon.
