Five former Grand Slam champions reached the quarterfinals of the Championships at Wimbledon today.
Amelie Mauresmo, Kim Clijsters, Justine Henin-Hardenne, Maria Sharapova, and Anastasia Myskina were joined in the quarterfinal round by 2-time Grand Slam finalist Elena Dementieva, and two surprise contenders, China’s Na Li and France’s Severine Bremond.
