Severine Bremond had an excellent run over the last ten days, but it all ended today against the 2006 Roland Garros champion Justine Henin-Hardenne.
Henin-Hardenne, who is seeded No. 3 at Wimbledon, advanced to the semifinals in straight sets 6-4, 6-4.
Bremond challenged Henin-Hardenne more than any of her other opponents in the past ten days, but it still was not enough to stop Justine in her quest for a career Grand Slam. Henin-Hardenne lost her serve three times, but she reciprocated the favor by converting five break chances against Bremond .
Ever since the draw came out two weeks ago, I have been looking forward to an All-Belgian semifinal. Justine Henin-Hardenne did her job, now Kim Clijsters just needs to advance past Na Li of China.
