Serena Williams and Anastasia Myskina are ready and waiting for their momentous match tonight at the Western & Southern Financial Group Women’s Open in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The Cincinnati Post has a great article on the first round match and included these quotes from the players, who claim that they are not concerned at all about facing each other so early in the tournament.

Serena Williams
“At some point, you’re going to have to end up playing everybody,” Williams said. “Why not now? If not now, when?
Serena has not played on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour since her third round loss at the Australian Open to Daniela Hantuchova. She leads Myskina 2-0 in career meetings, but her fitness and stamina will definitely be put to test, especially if this match goes to three sets. It is great to see Serena relaxed in her return, but she is in for quite a battle tonight from Myskina.

Anastasia Myskina
Said Myskina: “Yeah, it’s nice. It’s good. It’s even better if I can play my best. If I can stay focused and play a good match, it’ll be great. I don’t really care who to play. I’m sure Serena is the same way. We just want to play our best.”
I have been getting questions over the past few days on whether tonight’s match will be broadcasted on The Tennis Channel, but I just received an email from the marketing department of the Western & Southern Financial Group Women’s Open stating that the match will not be aired on any cable networks or local channels.
