Justine Henin-Hardenne backs down on Fed Cup Boycott Threat

I would love to know what went on behind the closed doors of Belgium’s “crisis” meeting today, as Justine Henin-Hardenne, Belgium’s No. 2 player, has backed down on her threat to boycott Fed Cup and as of this point, will play for Belgium in the final against Italy.
The French Open champion’s coach Carlos Rodriguez told a news conference on Thursday that Henin-Hardenne would play in the match on September 16 and 17, the Belga news agency said.

The Belgian tennis organization must have been pretty convincing or willing to bargain as for all practical purposes it sounded like Justine Henin-Hardenne was off the Fed Cup squad for good.
Personally, I am not holding my breath and it is still about two months before the final. Who knows, maybe Kim Clijsters will pitch a fit next as all the focus has been on Justine? The saga of Justine vs. Kim vs. Belgium has gone on for years and probably will continue until Clijsters retires at the end of next season.
