Justine Henin-Hardenne withdraws from the Acura Classic in San Diego

Justine Henin-Hardenne has pulled out of the upcoming Tier I Acura Classic tennis tournament in San Diego, California with a knee injury.
“It is with great disappointment that I have to withdraw from the Acura Classic this year due to an injury to my right knee,” said Henin-Hardenne, the champion of this tournament in 2003. “I am already rehabilitating and hope to be back on the court competing very soon.”

The world No. 3 will be missed in the main draw, but the impressive field still contains eight members of the current top ten. World No. 1 Amelie Mauresmo is also planning on sitting out the tournament.
