Serena Williams lost only four games to her countrywoman Amy Frazier last night at the Western & Southern Financial Group Women’s Open in Cincinnati, Ohio.
A quick 6-2, 6-2 victory was enough to propel Serena into the semifinals of the Tier III tournament, where she joined top seeded Patty Schnyder, the fourth seed Katarina Srebotnik, and resurgent Vera Zvonareva.
Schnyder will take on Srebotnik, followed by Serena vs. Zvonareva today in Cincinnati.
