World No. 3 Justine Henin-Hardenne is making sure that she will have plenty of time to rest and prepare her game before the start of the final Grand Slam in 2006. Henin-Hardenne’s coach Carlos Rodriguez has announced that Justine will be taking five weeks off from tennis competition before warming up for the US Open.
“Justine will now have five weeks off with no tournaments,” Rodriguez said on Henin-Hardenne’s official website.
“She will play only one warm-up event to prepare for the U.S. Open, and that will be Montreal. This will give her a week to recover, and focus on form. If there are no injuries Justine will play.”

Henin-Hardenne has won the US Open once before in 2003, and after reaching the final of all three previous Grand Slams this season, she is already one of the favorites to win the title, if she can go through the summer without any new injuries.
