When will the WTA wake up and stop this hideous, disrespectable yelling, screaming, screeching by some of the women players.

It is insulting to the fans, disrespectful to the other player. It is SO preposterous that it has been allowed to contine to the leve it is. I go to see a tennis mathc, go out and get a drink, cannot even get my seat until the break–and they are screeching like that?

There is something terribly wrong with this picture. Please WTA, players STOP THIS SCREECHING

I love tennis, think it is the greatest sport going today, but it is not football, boxing, or soccer.
Tennis is still a gentlemans and a LADIES sport.

Stop this disrespectful, disgraceful, degrading to the sport screeching, yelling, shouting, distracting idiotic screeching!!

Bravo, John ! Couldn’t agree more. Forehand drives (no matter how well hit) & topspin backhands (regardless of force & depth) do not require an accompanying shreik.

Of Monica Seles’ grunts and Maria Sharapova’s shrieks, which do you think is worse? Personally, I think the shrieks tend to be more irritating.
