New Wreck your Racquet Tennis Computer Game

Wreck Your Racquet

One of the fun things about owning a blog is that people send things to you for promotion and advertising. Some of the things that wind up in my inbox get sent to the back burner, but often I get really fun and interesting news to share with you. The latest press release to catch my attention: the “Wreck Your Racquet” tennis game from Tennis Canada and the Rogers Cup Tier I tennis tournament.

Compared to a lot of the other java tennis games floating around the internet, this one is actually quite good. On top of that, you are playing for a bonus; a chance to win preferential tickets or the grand prize package of VIP access tickets to the Rogers Cup WTA tournament, if you happen to live in Quebec. This certainly ruled me out, but I still had fun.

Gameplay is relatively easy to learn; just use your arrow keys to move and the “X” key to make contact with the ball. The game may be easy to learn, but actually hitting the ball is somewhat harder - I quickly lost my first try 0-2!

Go ahead, take a few minutes, and enjoy the game. Be sure to post your scores to the leaderboard, and come back and let us know at On the Baseline how well you did under the comments section. I’ll even throw you a free tip; I seemed to have better chances of returning the ball if my character was at the net.
