Venus and Serena Williams withdraw from Acura Classic in San Diego

Not only has the Acura Classic lost Lindsay Davenport, but Venus and Serena Williams have also withdrawn from next week’s Tier I tennis tournament in San Diego, California.
According to this article from Reuters, Venus pulled out with an injured left wrist, and Serena is trying to make sure that she does not do too much too fast on her still injured knee.
Fortunately for the Acura Classic, Kim Clijsters, Maria Sharapova, and Martina Hingis are still scheduled to play.
