NEW YORK — Action today at the US Open is packed with both sides of the ladies draw scheduled to play. The weather report is predicting cloudy weather, but no rain showers in the area near the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Allez Amelie!! Looking good, hopefully feeling fine.
And let’s hear it for the amazing Virginie Razzano, taking Hingis down in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4, the biggest win of her career! What a wonderful story, a very sweet interview afterwards on court (despite her limited English), and I couldn’t be more delighted for her.
And the French are doing just fine over all, Pierce and Golovin are also through in straight sets.
ALLEZ!!
