The rain has stopped once again and Amelie Mauresmo and Dinara Safina just started their quarterfinal match. Mauresmo should be able to get past Safina - but upsets have been aplenty over the past two weeks.
Let’s use the space below to discuss not only the Mauresmo/Safina match, but also Lindsay vs. Justine and Maria vs. Tatiana later this evening.
Just a few rules:
No profanity - your comment will be deleted.
No personal attacks against each other or any of the players
Most of all - have fun!
To get things going, how about answering this question and feel free to leave your own questions as well:

I think Dinara is gonna be the n1 in a few years ….
I guess she will have a progression like Amelie’s one with a lot of ups and downs…

She’s going to have to play a whole lot better if she wants to keep moving up. Amelie crushed her 6-2, 6-3.

Dinara was nervous; that was obvious to anyone. However, I am pleased to see Amelie get through without taking me on too long or scary of a roller coaster ride FOR ONCE.
ALLEZ AMELIE!

LOL, let’s hear it for the Parisian steamroller! (And we’ll see Dinara again very soon, I have no doubt.)
Let’s just hope Amelie hasn’t peaked too soon in this tournament - in fact, let’s hope she continues to improve this much with every match!!!
ALLEZ!!

Why is it that Tiger Woods, an american, is supporting Roger Federer when he is playing a fellow american at the US Open in New York City?
