Aaress - that was indeed a nice article, thanks for posting it. And nice comparison of the two extremes of Russian response!

Poor Mary - gotta wait a month for surgery. Aiieeee…. You really do have to admire her courage, huh?

Sapphisto - the latest news is that Mary flew today to Colorado to have surgery and will spend her rehab time in Florida.

Yikes! And we have to hear this from an Indonesian paper??!!

    (Thanks, and well-spotted, Aaress!)

Makes me wonder, though. If they were saying she should wait until the swelling’s gone down - I hope she’s not being impatient. And I think it’s interesting that she’s opted to have the operation in CO, given the commentator’s remarks about knee surgery in Austria (the other skiing capital of the world)! But it’s certainly understandable that she wants to rehab at home in FL.

Best of luck to her, regardless, and good vibes for the knee (and the surgeon’s hands!!)

I’m wondering if she is really gonna marry this year!!!
It would be a bit anoying to go to the church injured!

    Mary’s engaged?

  10. Aaress | Nov 1, 2006 | Reply

She got engaged to a pilot, David Emmanuel Ades, this spring. Supposedly the wedding was set for this month, but no news on if it is still on the schedule because of her injury.

Aww, poor baby, that’s even worse, then! I can’t see her wanting to hobble down the aisle on crutches.

On a brighter note, it’ll be cool to see some pics (assuming that some will be released) similar to the one from Nathalie’s wedding, with all of Les Girls in attendance. :)
