Amelie Mauresmo’s shoulder is feeling fine and she will be leaving for Madrid on Saturday with the goal of successfully defending her season-ending Championship title. (Mauresmo fit to defend her title)

Tickets for the Australian Open are available. Grounds passes will not go on sale until December 1. (Australian Open 2007)

Faults

No. 8 seed Mara Santangelo retired from her first round match against Michaella Krajicek yesterday because of an injured tendon in her left wrist.
