World number two Justine Henin-Hardenne has announced that she will be competing in next week’s Sony Ericsson Championships in Madrid, Spain.
Henin-Hardenne, who was the first of the elite players to qualify for the six day tournament, has not played since the final of Fed Cup where she injured her right knee.
After taking several weeks off for treatment and recovery, she has decided that she is fit enough to join the field at the Championships.
The practices sessions went well, and I am really very happy to be able to attend the WTA championships. I will depart on Saturday morning

Not only is Justine Henin-Hardenne heading to Madrid with hopes of winning her first Championships title, but with the goal of capturing the season-ending number one ranking for the second time in her career.

I hope she falls over a great dane…
LOL… that’s cruel and unusual punishment. For the Great Dane.
Sorry, this is mean-spirited and I want all of them to be fit & healthy – Brant just tickled my funny bone there, momentarily.
*goes & stands in the corner*
