Has Jelena Dokic been Kidnapped? Damir Thinks So

Throughout the years we have seen some interesting (to put it mildly) stories about Jelena Dokic and her extremely controversial father Damir, but hopefully this latest article is what it sounds like - a rumor.

Damir Dokic - who at one point was banned by the WTA for his abusive behavior - thinks that his daughter may have been kidnapped. The supposed perpetrators in this alleged crime: Jelena’s ex-coach Borna Bikic and Bikic’s brother Tino.

Former world number four Jelena Dokic has gone missing in Zagreb, with the Serbian media reporting that she may have been kidnapped.
. . .
“I’m very worried for my daughter,” he [Damir] told Serbian paper Kurir.

“Jelena will never admit that she was kidnapped or made to stay in Zagreb, but I think it is crystal clear that the Bikic brothers are behind all this.”

Poor Jelena Dokic has had more than her fair share of grief both on-and-off the tennis court in the past several years. She reached a peak of No. 4 in the world just four years ago, but her game and in fact her life completely fell apart - no small part due to her father Damir.

Jelena is currently ranked at No. 583 on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour rankings.

Poor kid - wherever she is, I hope she’s ok.

Wouldn’t surprise me, though, if she were just trying to get away from her father. Good luck to her.
