Merry Christmas!

Christmas Tree
Well, folks, I will be gone for a few days on a much-needed vacation, but first I want to wish each of you a wonderful Christmas holiday. As a Christian, my day on the 25th will be spent not only with family and friends, a roasted turkey and gifts, but also taking some time to reflect on the true meaning of the season.

Blogging, with the exception of any extremely important breaking news, will be suspended until Wednesday, when I’ll be posting my final thoughts on players to watch next season.

Later on next week, I’ll have a light-hearted post on a few suggested New Year’s resolutions for some of the top stars, and then toward the weekend, posting will pick up in earnest with previews of the first tournaments of the 2007 season, the ASB Classic and the Mondial Australian Women’s Hardcourts.

Of course, the comments are still open, so feel free to take part in any of the conversations. In the rare chance that your comment gets trapped in moderation, don’t worry. I’ll still be keeping an eye on things and will do my best to approve it as soon as possible.

In the meanwhile, you can check out the poll in the sidebar, the list of featured stories that you just might have missed, or any of the other 900+ posts in the archives.

I’m not the only person wanting to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, as a couple of other people want to leave their best wishes for their readers and fans.

Maria Sharapova - “Happy Holidays
Kim Clijsters - “Christmas Wishes
Nadia Petrova - Christmas Message
Kaia Kanepi - “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

I will be updating this list of Christmas wishes over the next few days, so if you see any that I have missed, leave me the link in the comments and I will include it.

I hope each of you has a wonderful holiday with those you love. Merry Christmas!
