Belgian Media: Justine Henin-Hardenne to Split from Pierre-Yves

According to the Belgian media, the reason behind Justine Henin-Hardenne’s shocking pull-out from the Australian hardcourt season is the impeding separation from her husband Pierre-Yves.
The Belgian press has a reputation for being among the most persistent, and occasionally unreliable news services on the planet when it comes to tennis players, especially their own.
They have stoked the fires between their two top players, turning mild disagreements into blood-bath worthy top headlines. Their most notable tennis attacks came after Kim Clijsters split from long-time boyfriend and fiancee Lleyton Hewitt, which eventually came to the point of Kim begging to be left alone so that she could deal with her personal life in private.
With that above disclaimer (!), the Belgian press is now reporting that the “personal reasons” Justine alluded to in her brief statement earlier today actually means that she is separating from her husband of four years, Pierre-Yves Hardenne.
Belgian media later reported the 24-year-old Henin was splitting from husband Pierre-Yves, the man she married in November 2002.
Pierre-Yves declined to comment on the media reports when he spoke to Reuters.

I would not be surprised if the Belgian press has gotten it right on this story. One of the first thing that came to my mind after Justine released her press statement was marital difficulties.
If this does pan out to be true - and knowing the Henin-Hardenne camp, it may be days before this rumor is confirmed - my heart goes out to both of them as dealing with a situation as sensitive as this while being in the eye of the limelight will not be easy.
