Nicole Vaidisova and Jelena Jankovic Will Play at the Family Circle Cup

The Family Circle Cup in Charleston, South Carolina has added two more stars to their already impressive field.

Family Circle CupNicole Vaidisova and Jelena Jankovic, both members of the top ten on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour, have just been added to the entry list for the Tier I tournament.

With the addition of these two premier players, this year’s Family Circle Cup player field now boasts seven of the top ten players in the world including No. 1 Maria Sharapova, No. 2 Justine Henin, No. 3 Amélie Mauresmo, No. 5 Svetlana Kuznetsova, and No. 6 Martina Hingis.

“Nicole and Jelena are two players who represent the youthful and talented depth that exists at the top level of women’s professional tennis today,” commented Robin Reynolds, Family Circle Cup Tournament Director. “They are the driving force behind the next generation of stars, and we’re very glad to have them back in Charleston competing against the other top players in the world.”

The 2007 Family Circle Cup will be held April 7th – 15th at the Family Circle Tennis Center in Charleston, South Carolina.
