Tathiana Garbin (27*/29) – Garbin is now just two spots away from ousting Francesca Schiavone as the Italian No. 1.
Venus Williams (38/54) – Venus’ trophy at Memphis was just a Tier III, but it was good enough to give the United States two players inside of the top forty.
Roberta Vinci (43/64) – After seven years on the WTA Tour, Roberta Vinci scored her first title yesterday at the Copa Colsanitas.
