Who’s Up

Svetlana Kuznetsova (4/5)- Svetlana is back to her career high of No. 4 – originally set in October of 2004.

Francesca Schiavone (21/26) – She had a bumpy start to the 2007 season, but it looks like Francesca has her game back on track.

Flavia Pennetta (40/42) – Flavia was not able to bring home the title in Acapulco, but she was able to get back inside of the top forty.

Emilie Loit (43/52) – Seven times at Acapulco was the charm for France’s No. 5 player.

Kateryna Bondarenko (94*/131) – The youngest of the Bondareko trio shot through to the top 100 last week thanks to a quarterfinalist finish at Doha.

Who’s Down

Anna-Lena Groenefeld (25/21) – Groenefeld’s results in the last six months have been terrible and now her ranking is starting to reflect it. She is taking some time off to get her game straightened out and will be skipping the Pacific Life Open.

Lindsay Davenport (51/50) – Lindsay Davenport is still on the WTA Tour rankings as long as she does not submit written notification of her retirement to the Tour officials. Davenport is due to have her first child in June.

*Asterisk means that the player set a new career-high this week.

Molik up 8 places! haha that’s what i love to see!
Also, Alize Cornet impressed me last week… I think we will be seeing a lot more of her in the next couple of months… provding she choses the right tournaments due to her age and the limits or whatever!
