I’m assuming this Barcelona event would be on clay, right? I don’t really see Venus playing a clay court event after the French Open. Everyone knows Wimbledon is her best chance for another slam, so I dont think she’d really want to put in extra time on clay before heading to the grass.

WilliamsFan, Barcelona is indeed a clay court event and will be held the same week as Birmingham’s Wimbledon warm-up.

It would seem odd for her to play a second clay event after Roland Garros, but she may do it for Arantxa.
