Rain interrupted play yesterday at the Tier III Budapest Grand Prix. Top seed Tathiana Garbin had her match suspended at 3-6, 6-4 against Nuria Llagostera Vives.

A circuit judge has ruled that the tournament promoters involved in Venus and Serena Williams’ recent breach of contract lawsuit have to reimburse their legal fees. (Tennis promoter must pay court costs for Venus and Serena Williams and their father)
