The arrival of Grand Slams often stimulate changes in a player’s life and not surprisingly, the slumping Sania Mirza has hired a new coach for Roland Garros.

Mirza, who has fallen a long way from her career high of No. 31, has decided to employ the skills of Spain’s Gabriel Urpi on a temporary basis for the French Open, according to Zee News.

She has already spent much of the 2007 season on the injured list because of her right knee and since returning earlier this month she has lost two straight first round matches.

Mirza’s father Imram has been her main coach during much of her career.
