Site Advisory: Welcome to the New On the Baseline

With Wimbledon only days away, I’m pleased to launch a brand new version of On the Baseline Tennis News.
Those of you that have been with OTB from the beginning know that it has come a long way since our early days as a Typepad blog in 2005. The last design worked well, but after eighteen months, we outgrew it and needed something more streamlined and faster for our readers on dial-up.
The new design has been tested extensively in Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, and Opera, but please let me know if you run into any problems while viewing the site. Posting has been a bit sporadic over the past week as I’ve been finishing up the design, but things will be picking up over the next few days before the start of Wimbledon.
Special thanks go out to Michael at Solostream for the original template, and also the fabulous folks behind the WordPress platform.

Ooooh, snazzy. Love all the whitespace. But then again, I’m kind of a fan of that look.

I’m pretty partial to whitespace too Lynn - in fact, that was one of my main priorities for the redesign.

Well, dog my cats! Looks like “extreme makeover” has hit ON THE BASELINE in a big way. And it’s just great what you’ve done with the place (really); a fresh, new look and just in time for Wimbledon. Sweet.
