Daniela Hantuchova (10/12) – Daniela Hantuchova returned to the top 10 after reaching the semifinals last week at the Bank of the West Classic.

Francesca Schiavone (27/31) – It took her nine attempts, but Italy’s Francesca Schiavone has finally won her first singles title.

Sania Mirza (31/35) – Even though it was only good enough for a small jump on the rankings, Sania Mirza’s final finish at the Bank of the West Classic delivered a much-needed boost to her confidence.

Kaia Kanepi (40*/46) – Estonia’s Kaia Kanepi has broken through to the top 40.

Karin Knapp (46*/58) – The Italian Kim Clijsters’ fan reached the semifinals at Bad Gastein.

Who’s Down

Amelie Mauresmo (7/6) – Mauresmo is enjoying her mid-season vacation, but she’ll need to deliver a better second part of 2007 if she wants to end the year in the top 10.
