Marion Bartoli (11/12) - Marion Bartoli has yet to duplicate the form she showed at Wimbledon, but she is still moving up the rankings.
Agnes Szavay (20*/23) - Hungary’s rising star has debuted inside of the top 20.
Peng Shuai (47/49) - Peng Shuai downed two former world number ones - Martina Hingis and Amelie Mauresmo - in succession before losing in the semifinals at Beijing.
Lindsay Davenport (123/154) - Lindsay Davenport’s impressive comeback run continued at the China Open where she reached the semifinals.
Who’s Down
Amelie Mauresmo (12/10) - Amelie Mauresmo, competing for the first time in three months, lost in the quarterfinals of the China Open to Peng Shuai.
