Justine Henin Wins 38th Career Title on Sunday in Zurich

After a four-year hiatus, world number one Justine Henin successfully returned to the Zurich Open by winning the title on Sunday with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Tatiana Golovin.

Golovin held a 4-1 lead in the opening set, only to have Henin storm back to win the trophy in ninety-three minutes.

With a first serve percentage of only 58% percent and thirty-two unforced errors, today’s final in Zurich was not Henin’s most dazzling performance. But it was enough for Henin to win her ninth title of 2007 before heading into the season-ending Sony Ericsson Championships in Madrid.

Justine Henin has already secured her position as the No. 1 player headed into next season. Tatiana Golovin is projected to rise to a career-high of No. 18 on Monday.

Henin last played at the Zurich Open in 2003, when she won the title with a 6-0, 6-4 win over Jelena Dokic.
