Ana Ivanovic fought hard today for a birthday win over world No.2 Svetlana Kuznetsova in the opening round today at the Sony Ericsson Championships.
The twenty year-old Serbian defeated Kuznetsova in three sets 6-1, 4-6, 7-5 after two hours and sixteen minutes of match-play.
