If Serbia could field the duo of Jankovic and Ivanovic, they would be a favorite to climb their way into the World Group. Bless Jankovic's heart, she has been trying to do it for years, but that is a task for TWO solid singles players, not one.

Good point on Warsaw and thanks for pointing it out because I didn't notice that when I looked at the calendar. Henin should be announcing her upcoming schedule soon, so it will be interesting to see if she does plan to play Rome. With Charleston and Rome both being Tier I's, I would not be surprised if she does replace Warsaw with a trip to Italy.

I feel like this will be the big schedule for most of the top players. It incorporates the biggest events. I wonder if Ivanovic plans on planning Fed Cup. Teaming her with Jankovic would make a very strong team.

Also, this is just a note on the 2008 tour calendar in general, but did you notice that the Tier II event in Warsaw is not on next year's schedule? This makes me wonder if Henin will play Charleston, as she often does, then just play Berlin before Roland Garros? Or will she make only her second trip to Rome, as she made the final in 2002, losing to Serena?
