Agnieszka Radwanksa is quickly becoming a player to fear in the draw of a Grand Slam. For the second consecutive major, she has downed one of the top favorites for the title.

The Polish teenager played some of the best tennis of her career on Saturday at the Australian Open and defeated second seed Svetlana Kuznetsova in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.

Agnieszka Radwanska is quickly becoming a player to fear in the draw of a Grand Slam. For the second consecutive major, she has downed one of the top favorites for the title.

The Polish teenager played some of the best tennis of her career on Saturday at the Australian Open and defeated second seed Svetlana Kuznetsova in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.

Radwanska previously stunned Maria Sharapova in the third round of the US Open in 2007.

Kuznetsova looked tired and sluggish, and her game was littered with errors. The match lasted only seventy-seven minutes, but the world No. 2 posted thirty-six unforced errors and only had a 54% first-serve percentage.

“This is a pretty tough loss because I think I’ve been in the best shape ever in Australian Open,” said Kuznetsova after the match. “I just didn’t make it work.”

Also failing to advance on Saturday was sixth seed Anna Chakvetadze, who lost to her countrywoman Maria Kirilenko 6-7(6), 6-1, 6-2.

Only two courts, Rod Laver and Vodafone, have been used so far today because of rain.

Add Anna Chakvetadze to the list of casualties!

This side of the draw just opened up greatly for Nadia Petrova to make it to the semifinal, she better treasure it!

    Amazing!

Despite being a player with many varieties, kutzie hasn’t been convincing in many games in the past, and that doesnt make this shocking to me.

& Nick is perfectly right up here.
