Casey Dellacqua scored the biggest upset of the tournament so far by defeating 2006 champion Amelie Mauresmo in three sets 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 on Friday.
Venus and Serena Williams shook up the ladies doubles draw by ousting second seeds Katarina Srebotnik and Ai Sugiyama 6-2, 7-6(2).
