Henin is losing $125,000 for missing Doha this week…at least that’s what I read….but it comes off her prize money at the end of the year.

Nick – I also heard about Henin’s fines. Women’s Tennis Blog reported that Henin will lose $125,000 of her bonus money, plus she picked up an additional $10,000 fine.

What a good week it is to be a lucky loser!

Wild. From what they state on WTB , she opted for Antwerp over Doha. So even though she won $95,500, she knowingly payed to play.

It’s all emotional. Last Belgian tournament, probably ever during her career. Did you watch her play last week? Awful! Awful! She was all nerves. It was almost amusing to watch Alisa who? Kleybanova chase her around the court in set 1!

But she won it, so great for her and all Belgium is happy.

It was a nice gesture of good will for Henin to play Antwerp in its final year, especially with Clijsters retired.

I didn’t get a chance to watch any of her matches Alsacienne, but from what I heard, Justine played pretty badly from start to finish. She’ll need to rest up because Dubai won’t be a cakewalk with Serena and Maria planning to compete.
