Venus Williams, Lindsay Davenport Headline Memphis

The USA’s first tournament of the year will be a star-spangled, star-studded affair as Venus Williams and Lindsay Davenport contest the $175,000 Regions Morgan Keegan Championships and the Cellular South Cup.
Defending champion Venus Williams is top seed, followed by Tatiana Golovin, Shahar Peer, and Lindsay Davenport.
Davenport is headed for double duty in Memphis as she is scheduled to play both singles and doubles. Davenport’s partner is Lisa Raymond, with whom she has won eight career titles.
Williams and Davenport will both face qualifiers in the first round of the Tier III tournament.
