The Family Circle Cup announced on Thursday that LACOSTE will return for the third consecutive year as the official apparel sponsor of the 2008 Family Circle Cup.

LACOSTE is one of the world’s most well known brands with over 900 LACOSTE boutiques worldwide including a boutique in Charleston.

“The Family Circle Cup is proud to renew its partnership with LACOSTE, a legendary brand that has mirrored the style and prestige of professional tennis throughout the game’s history,” said Robin Reynolds, Family Circle Cup Tournament Director.

“It’s obvious that our fans really like the look and fashion of this distinguished clothier as our staff and volunteers receive constant praise for our apparel choice throughout the tournament.”

The Family Circle Cup and LACOSTE are well renowned for their storied histories, rich traditions, and for showcasing the excitement and panache of professional tennis competition.

“LACOSTE is a brand known for its rich heritage and fresh fashions, and it’s only natural to partner with the city of Charleston and The Family Circle Cup for such a special event. We are thrilled that we can be a part of making history as King Street comes alive with exciting tennis and fashion,” said Robert Siegel, Chairman of LACOSTE USA.

LACOSTE will outfit the staff of the Family Circle Cup, as well as nearly 500 volunteers in the latest LACOSTE at the tournament’s 35th anniversary celebration.

LACOSTE apparel will not be sold on the grounds of the event, however, fans who would like to acquire LACOSTE items can do so at Charleston’s only LACOSTE boutique located at 248 King Street in downtown Charleston.
