For all of us who love tennis, I hope those in control never allow the atrocious coverage carried by FSN or MSG plus in New York City. In my 30 years of watching tennis, this is the worst coverage I have ever seen. It seems that FSN (MSG plus) is totally uninvolved in the game of tennis. The matches they air are limited, unpredictable, and constantly preempted by other sports. Thank goodness at least the finals will be on CBS.

In my 30 years of watching tennis, this is the worst coverage I have ever seen. It seems that FSN (MSG plus) is totally uninvolved in the game of tennis. Their channel is obviously devoted to hockey, baseball, football, etc., since they preempt the tennis matches for every other sport. Please, whomever has a say in the tv coverage, do not let this happen again.

I completely agree Barb. I was looking forward to watching tennis today as well. Federer and Serena have matches scheduled during that time. However, Baseball is playing right now. And it is not even the game. It's the preshow. What is really going on? FSN really *****. And they don't discirimnate. They do this with all their sports coverage.

The coverage for both the Pacific Life Open and the Sony Ericsson Open has been just awful. The FSN website, this website, and the ATP site all post TV schedules for the matches but guess what's on my local FSN channel right now? Major League Baseball. It's SUPPOSED to be tennis! This has happened over and over. Not only that, but during both tournaments I can hear a technical director's comments over his headset! "Affiliates, 10 seconds to national break. 3-2-1 and we're clear." He or she can continue to be heard over announcer comments and during the commercial breaks. I live in Lincoln, NE (Time Warner Cable) and this can be heard on my digital boxes but not on the TV that's hooked up directly to the cable. What gives? FSN is bush league.

I live in South Bend, IN area, and I have Comcast cable service with sports package including Tennis Channel. I was not able to see one single live or even taped match – very disappointed with Comcast, FSN, and Tennis Channel. I called Comcast – they said they didn’t have rights but would request FSN coverage for my area. I also sent email to Tennis Channel – they've never replied as they obviously don’t care about their customers and real tennis fans. Their program is so annoying with 24 hrs repetitions of the same shows – bag checks and interviews with the same people over and over again every day.
It looks like Sony Ericsson will be today on CSN (37) – that would be very nice for a change! They probably have no other sport events (including local softball recreational games) today.

I too agree with everyone on FSN' insignificant and unreliable "coverage." Here in the Upper Midwest, the local FSN coverage chose college hockey, final four kinda stuff. Okay, so that's understandable - but then FSN pick a sister network, "Speed" to Fox News, to FX to whatever to broadcast the tennis programming. This is what other broadcasting companies do...

For sending your comments on the lack of "coverage" - here's PacLife's address, from the Pac Life Open website -

Tournament Administration and Box Office
Pacific Life Open
Indian Wells Tennis Garden
78-200 Miles Avenue
Indian Wells, CA 92210

or e-mail: dee2@iwtg.net

And most notably to Fox Sports Network -

Justin Gimelstob was just horrible in his commentating, and I am dreading the next time I have to listen to his unrelentless criticisms of the players. He was never a good enough player to be criticizing anyone, and he just doesn't have the credibility required to be commentating anything.

Why has FSN chosen to emphasize their on air talent and not the sounds of the game? I miss hearing the full thwack of the ball and the cheers and groans of the crowd.

Why aren't the finals of the Pacific Life tennis on tv? I have watched your station faithfully all week and now you have preseaon baseball on rather than the final.

I live in DC and through Comcast I was able to see the previous matches on channel 10 and today they are showing college baseball!! I called Comcast because I tried to find on what channel the Pacific Life Open was on and was unsuccessful. After talking to customer services for a half hour they told me that FSN is not available in DC!! I don’t understand this is ridiculous!!!
