The <em>singles</em> champions get $1.6 million. Mixed doubles champs get far, far less and still have to split it in half. They'll have to make sure that the top half of the draw plays on the "Sunday start" therefore, otherwise someone could theoretically play Sunday (1) Wednesday (2) Saturday (3) and then have Tue (4) Thu (1/4) Fri (1/2) Sat (F). They are also scheduling the women's Round of 16 and quarter-finals over two days each instead of getting them done and dusted in one.
