Amelie Mauresmo’s Qatar Telecom German Open Statement

Former world No. 1 Amelie Mauresmo has released a statement through the Qatar Telecom German Open after pulling out of the event yesterday because of a rib injury.

In the short statement Mauresmo expressed her disappointment and said that she hopes to return to the Tour soon.

“I really don’t know what to say. I have been looking forward to this week here at the Qatar Telecom German Open in Berlin - it is a great tournament and a great start into the clay court season”, said Mauresmo.

“It was one of the important tournaments for me this season. So, I am of course very disappointed that I had to pull out here in Berlin. I just have to do some further examinations next week and I will try to come back on the Tour as soon as possible.”
