As much as I would like to see the Britgirls do well here, I hope Ula Radwanska (Junior Wimby Champ ITF World #1 Junior) Gets a good run. But she is still only 17/18. Even so she has touches that Aga does not have.

Navaro did well on Clay Grass is totally different. And good that Sam got one. Been through the mill, but on the way back :)

does this mean the Williamses wont be playing doubles? i thought they’d want some more practice before Beijing.

That’s a good question, Venusfan. I’m not clear on the regulations regarding doubles entry into a Grand Slam, so I can’t comment about whether Venus and Serena will be eligible for direct entry, even though they have not played much together recently.

in doubles venus is ranked in the 90s and Serena not in the top 100. they wont get direct entry because kirilenko and pennetta are ranked much higher, around 40 i think, and they have to qualify. i thought theyd get a wildcard like they did last year. oh well now they can concentrate on singles!
