Patty Schnyder and Tour Players Help Promote Animal Conservation in Bali

The Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali invited Sony Ericsson WTA Tour players to help promote animal conservation by releasing turtles on the beach front in Bali on Monday.

Turtles were released from captivity as part of the hotel’s commitment towards animal preservation.

Turtles were released from captivity as part of the hotel’s commitment towards social responsibility in preserving sea creatures.

Tennis players such as Nadia Petrova, Francesca Schiavone, Melinda Czink, Natalie Grandin, Jill Craybas, Akgul Amanmuradova, and Anna-Lena Groenefeld released turtles at the beach. Flavia Pennetta, Patty Schnyder and Tamira Paszek also participated.

Turtles in Bali are a protected species. The tennis players released 60 Ridel turtles originating from turtle conservation in the Western Coast of Bali managed by Balai Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam Bali.
