Former world number one Justine Henin will officially open her newest tennis academy at the Mission Inn Resort & Club in Florida on September 27.
Henin, the winner of seven Grand Slam titles, including four Roland Garros trophies, also has an academy in her homeland of Belgium.
The Academy is a collaboration between Henin and her long-time coach, Carlos Rodriguez. Since retiring from the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour in May, Henin has devoted her time to furthering the sport of tennis in Belgium and now the United States.
“We will have a spirit of fun and combine the teaching of tennis with human development in line with our core values: humility, willingness, respect, self control, courage, autonomy and self confidence,” said Henin in a statement published by the Academy.
The 1,000-acre Mission Inn Resort & Club is located in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, only thirty-five minutes northwest of Orlando.
